As in the days of Noah.

   Luke 17:26-27

“Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man.

People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all."

The wisdom of our Lord and Salvation was given to the foolish, to confound the wise. It was understood and realized in simplicity and truth and therefore convoluted to the seekers of knowledge, but received as babes to those seeking truth. The wisdom of our Creator is easy to grasp and simple, despite the chaos and disenfranchised nature of our modern era. I have seen much disinformation and Gnosticism associated with Luke 17:26-33, and it is timely and appropriately so to set aright the nature and meaning of this passage so that our minds are not clouded with fear or deception. Satan is our adversary, and the author of confusion. He seeks us to live in fear, for it crumbles the love joy and peace we find in our faith. Do not be afraid or misled, for the time is at hand.

I have seen interpretations and various opinions in regards to "the days of Noah". Some have suggested that giants and Nephilim will be roaming the earth, that man/beast/demon hybrids will come to walk amongst us - that transhumanism will be rampant and take over our nature. One self proclaimed prophet calls this the age of genetic Armageddon... Satanic bloodlines and serpent reptilian cross-breeds and man becoming instantly transformed into fallen angels and the list goes on and on. But as we read along in the chapter, Jesus goes onto state in Luke 17:28-29 "...in like manner also, as it came to pass in the days of Lot; they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building; and on the day Lot went forth from Sodom, He rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed all.". How can so many gather from this that we are being boldly warned about a DNA insurrection is well beyond my ability to reason upon. What will soon befall this world has so much more to do with disobedience, and not DNA. In clarity, Jesus was saying that mankind by and large, would not notice, they would not hear, they would take no note. The day and hour for God's righteous judgment would be sudden and swift for those who were loving this world and the things in it, and for those who had lifted their heads erect and loved not this life, nigh was the time for deliverance. Before judgment, there is warning, before peace there is war. This battle from above is now here below. Do not be afraid, for we belong to the God of Peace.

Life will be normal and people will be going about their worldly centric lives; it will be business as usual during this age prior to the day of the Lord. Noah was a preacher of righteousness and our preparation for Jesus return is rooted obedience and repentance and following not after the ways of this world. Lot was a holy man living amidst the vile homosexual city of Sodom. To make comparisons that the days of Noah mean giants and such on this earth would mean to gather the same ideology from Jesus reference to Lot. In truth this is not so. Jesus was telling believers that they alone would see the light in darkness because of a Godly disassociation to things in this world. Lot's wife looked back upon the material things of Sodom as if she was going to miss them. She became a pile of salt that is now scattered across this land urging those who believe to not look back at this world and its desires. We look towards Christ Jesus alone as our deliverer. This truth has altered my own walk and is compelling me to trust, rather than prepare. Building underground bunkers and designing a life in preparation of tribulation will mean reliance upon our Lord and not investing in the tangibles that we may believe will save our lives. Our salvation and deliverance has already been written. Our hope is in not looking back at the things in this world once we find the way and truth and life in Jesus Christ. It is in abandonment and leaning upon the One in whom our rest is assured. To do otherwise...we may not see the fire from above that will consume all things. We will not die for a lack of knowledge, for Jesus IS that truth and way and life, and in His power and ability we shall prevail.

Jesus follows this line of reasoning in Luke 18 where He speaks of the calamity of the wealth and its obstacle in entering the Kingdom of God. Our passion and pursuits will not be worldly, they will be simple. We will choose not to love this life and all of its pleasures as we seek to be well pleasing to our Master. This is completed by not adopting the things of this world as our god - the desire of the flesh and eyes and materialism. This world is passing away and so is the desire to obtain materials that will only tarnish with time and rust in this weather. Our Ark of deliverance is Christ Jesus and His abiding within us. To determine that hybrids and Nephilim and reptilian creatures are after our souls may well lead us onto a path of fear and panic, and these are the first of man who will be taken from this world as the end of this age approaches.  In whom is your trust and rest and hope and salvation? Christ Jesus within us these days will have us as Noah, preaching righteousness and urging others into His safety and Salvation, no matter what or in what form persecution and death manifests itself to the saints. Take courage and be glad you people, for He has already conquered this world.
