That battle in the brain.

Don't for a moment think that the enemy of your soul does not have access to your thoughts.  He does. For Satan has blinded the minds of the unbelievers so that the glory of the good news about Messiah who is the image of God, would not shine through. It is for this reason we are admonished to take every thought captive. It means that every image, word, notion and desire must be filtered through the lens of obedience to Christ. Therein at least for me lies a war that has been going on since February of 2014. When we know Him, our enemy knows this, and the battle begins. It has been a war that is constant and continual, because the very air of this world belongs to one who decieves. This is what the devil does. He lies and lies until it becomes believable.

We have access to a power that overcomes this and brings about peace and tranquility amidst the chaos of untruth we are swimming in. It comes by and through obedience in believing and living in truth. It comes by checking like a security guard every thought that comes into our minds. We are given the free will to decide what it is we think about and what we act upon.

I am writing this to share what I have found personally that has helped me along the way. Prayer. Lots of prayers. Consciously thinking about what I am thinking about and understanding that everything I let into my brain is a decision. I avoid deep dives and rabbit holes of things that do not matter. After all of this I pray a lot. I have discourse with my Father knowing He hears and sees this common struggle in my life of really taking every thought captive. One does not need to go knocking on the devil's door. He is always at the door. So is another, and that is the one who has redeemed me from being a slave to the atmosphere of sin and death that this world breathes.

Don't underestimate your enemy. Trust in The Savior of your soul.
